Scotland wedding and elopement photography for couples who want an incredible experience, not an awkward photoshoot.
Based in Inverness and helping couples from around the world plan relaxed, unforgettable weddings across the Highlands, Skye and Scotland.
Your wedding & elopement photographer
I get it. You want amazing wedding photos. Obviously. Nobody’s booking a photographer hoping for “a bit meh, but fine on Instagram.”
You want to actually enjoy your wedding day. Not spend it being posed into unnatural shapes like you’re auditioning for a lifestyle catalogue called “Happiness, but make it awkward.”
My job is to tell the story of your day properly. That means stepping back and letting things unfold as they naturally would, with just enough direction when it’s needed so you don’t end up wondering what to do with your hands.
The best moments are never the ones you plan. They’re the laugh that comes out of nowhere, the tear you didn’t expect.
That’s the stuff I’m looking for. Not stiff. Not staged. Not forced. Just honest, emotional, slightly chaotic in the best possible way moments that take you straight back to how it all felt.
Your day should be everything you hoped it would be. My job is making sure you can see that it really was.
A dream photographer! We booked Allan for our wedding and from beginning to end he exceeded our expectations. From initial phone call he was relaxed, friendly and knowledgeable. On the day he took care of everything without us even asking (including helping to steam my dress!). The photos are stunning, better than we expected and arrived way before we expected. We couldn’t recommend Allan enough – if were ever in the area again we’re inviting him for a pint to say thank you!
Why couples book me…apart from the the 18 years experience & banter
You want more than nice photos and a vague promise that I’ll “capture the magic.” You want someone who knows the Highlands, knows weddings are mildly chaotic at the best of times, and won’t make the whole thing feel like a photoshoot with vows.
You get real photos, not a gallery of awkward poses or people staring into the distance told to ‘act natural’. I help you plan what matters, keep things moving without bossing you about, and deliver images that feel like you, just on a better hair day.
I’m not the photographer who turns every five minutes into a styled shoot. You won’t be asked to climb a hill for a shot I could get two minutes from the car, unless it’s truly worth it and you’re still talking to me. The aim is enjoyment, not endurance.
I’m best for couples who want real moments, light guidance, and a photographer who tells the truth instead of wedding-industry fluff. If you want relaxed, natural photography with humour and a real connection to Scotland, we’ll probably get on just fine.
Elopement's and Small Weddings
Big weddings are great if you love seating plans, family drama and pretending you know half your guests.
Or you could sack all that off and elope in Scotland instead. Think Skye, Glencoe, Torridon or Assynt. Just the two of you, epic scenery, questionable weather and an actual adventure.
Relaxed, real, slightly wild and plenty of laughs along the way.
Wedding Photography
The bigger weddings, be it a micro wedding, full-day wedding, half-day wedding or full on “let’s party’ wedding in Scotland across the UK or Europe, I’m there to capture your day as painlessly and as unobtrusively as possible.
Documenting the details that is your day, candidly capturing your guests and blending in where necessary. Those big moments, those couple-only shots; relaxed, natural and fun.
Pre/Post Wedding
You’ve got engaged and looking for an engagement photoshoot, or planning on popping the ‘question’ and looking for a photographer.
Already married and are looking for a wedding photoshoot to capture Scotland’s scenery whilst you are here? Taking your wedding outfits with you or having couples only shoot.
I am happy to work with you and your plans to create that adventure.
Because your wedding should feel like you, not a checklist.
What I offer
Every kind of love story
