Fairy Glen elopement wedding Skye
Skye; the wedding backdrop for Anna & Aron
Skye elopement weddings with the Fairy Glen and Quiraing providing the backdrop. Skye provides the backdrop to your Scottish Elopement wedding like not many other places in Scotland. Glencoe or Skye, it’s a 50/50.
As the showers stopped, the wind died, they danced amongst the clouds…and it rained love.
Anna and Aron’s elopement wedding at Fairy Glen on Skye, with a wee scoot over to the Quiraing to get up in the mountains a wee bit more and create those stunning shots and memories.
A pair of troopers as it was absolutely blowing a gale with showers of torrential rain throughout the day, but that’s Skye. Some days it’s just glorious light, others, it’s throwing all the weather at you.
Starting off in a holiday apartment right in the Fairy Glen, Anna and Aron had taken along two friends and their dog as witnesses. Remember, you need two witnesses!
Getting ready shots, first view shots and we jamp into the cars and scooted along the road to the chosen spot. In Scotland you can pretty much choose your ceremony location, be it a field, a loch, a mountain or Fairy Glen.
An odd occurrence as we visited both locations – not too many tourists at Fairy Glen and Quiraing! Maybe the weather helped us there. Visitors are lovely, but not when a busload suddenly becomes part of your wedding.
The day went…rain, sun, rain, wind, wind, rain…almighty rain, wind, sun…rain, but everyone got on with the celebration and embraced the weather.
Wellies, walking boots and umbrellas are always handy when it comes to getting married outdoors in Scotland. I always have umbrellas in the car, so don’t worry about them too much.
