Clachtoll Beach Wedding.

A windy but midge free wedding at Clachtoll, on the cliff.

Three years since they booked and we are good to go. Post Covid weddings!

With Covid regulations around weddings and lives in general, a lot of couples have had to postpone, and postpone again. Leah and Gary are one of those. We hid from the bug until we were all ready and allowed. We’re ready.

Clachtoll holds a special place in Leah’s heart, her whole families. Was there going to be anywhere else they got married? Doubt it. We started the morning with getting ready shots whilst the boys got ready along the road at Torran Grianach.

It’s a little overcast and the wind is eh, windy? Windy is good, it will keep those little blighters we call midges or more commonly ‘little shits’.

Everyone preened, we march off along the road to the wedding venue. When I say the venue, I mean haybales in the field past the camping and caravan site overlooking the beach. If you’re getting married near a beach or in a field, would you want anything else? Hay bales for seating for the win.

A lovely heart warming ceremony; we needed it, it was blowing a hoolie up there, conducted by the Humanist Society of Scotland with Leah & Gary pronouncing how much they love each other yadda yadda we know we know. Service done, it’s down and around the beach for some group and couple only shots. Leah why didn’t we have the ceremony down here?

Back to the house, the marquee and food, drink, singing, dancing and celebrating a wedding like we do in Scotland. Happily, merrily and with craic and banter.

A little look into their day..
